Dado que el chart se elabora dos veces por semana si una canción estuvo durante tres charts en el primer lugar figurará como número uno por + 1 semana, si permaneció cuatro charts corresponde 2 semanas, cinco charts + 2 semanas (es decir más de dos semanas pero no tres, que equivaldrían a 3 semanas)

Todos los top 10 anuales desde 1987 hasta hoy.
Cada emisión las canciones resciben puntos. La número uno obtiene 10 puntos, la número dos
nueve puntos, y así sucesivamente. Al final de cada año, de acuerdo con la sumatoria de puntos
se confecciona el top ten anual.

Nota. En caso de empate de puntos, la canción que llegó a una mejor posición aparecerá en el pues-
to más alto. Si ambas canciones alcanzaron el número uno, por ejemplo, la que más tiempo haya
permanecido en la cima, prevalecerá.

Artistas con mayor cantidad de hits: Madonna 56, Janet Jackson 48, Mariah Carey 42, George Michael 38, Michael Jackson 30. Cabe mencionar que las tres primeras son las únicas que tienen más temas en el chart que años de edad.

Grupo con mayor cantidad de hits: U2 con 27.

Mayor cantidad de números uno: Madonna 28, George Michael 21, Janet Jackson 21.

Madonna es la primer artista en tener un número uno más de veinte años después de haber logrado el primero. "Como una plegaria" alcanzó la cima el 13/04/89 y "El ritmo sigue" lo hizo el 19/04/2009. Luego lo logró Whitney Houston, que el 28/08/88 llegó al primer lugar con "El amor salvará el día" y el 23/08/09 lo hizo con "Te miro avos"

El número uno con mayor permanencia en el tope es "Este solía ser mi patio" de Madonna, con 12 semanas y media.

Solamente dos artistas han conseguido quedarse tres veces con el tema del año. Madonna (en 1992 "Este solía ser mi patio" en 1998 "Congelado" y en 2001 "No me digas" además quedó dos veces en el segundo puesto en 1990 y 1994. George Michael lo logró en 1991 con "Cowboys y ángeles" en 1996 "Como Jesus a un niño" y en 2004 con "Asombroso". El grupo inglés Coldplay ya lo hizo dos veces, en 2003 con "Dios ha puesto una sonrisa en mi cara" y en 2008 con "Viva la vida".

Ocho artistas poseen números uno en tres décadas diferentes: Madonna, Michael Jackson, Pet Shop Boys, George Michael, Elton John, Bruce Hornsby, Anita Baker y Whitney Houston. Janet Jackson casi lo logra, pero su primer número uno "Escapada" es de marzo de 1990.

Con el comienzo de la nueva década, dos artistas logran tener éxitos en cuatro décadas diferentes. Janet Jackson comenzó su seguidilla en 1987 con "esperemos un poco" y llega al 2010 con "haceme", en los noventa tuvo su hit más grande con "lo tengo hasta que se fué" en los 2000 tuvo a "todo para vos" En tanto la africana Sade tuvo su primer hit en 1988 con "paraíso" y está presente en 2010 con el hit número uno "soldado del amor" En los noventa llegó cuatro veces al primer puesto con los temas de su álbum "Love Deluxe" y en los 2000 repitió esa performance con los hits del cd "Lover's rock". También se suma Whitney Houston que comenzó en 1987 con "Quiero bailar con alguien que me quiera" y llega en 2010 con "Nada más que amor" Además es la única de las tres que tuvo números uno en los 80 los 90 y los 2000

La canción con mayor permanencia en el chart es "Rey del dolor" de Sade, con 20 semanas y media, alcanzó el primer puesto. La canción con mayor permanencia en el chart sin haber logrado el primer lugar es "Apagá las luces" de Nelly Furtado con 19 semanas y media, que llegó al puesto dos.

Las canciones números uno con menor permanencia en el chart son "No seas curel" de Bobby Brown y "Sé mi gemelo" de Brother Beyond con 5 semanas y media cada una.

El álbum del que más hits ingresaron al ranking es "Dangerous" de Michael Jackson (ocho) (ver índice de artistas Jackson Michael). Además, él y su hermana Janet son los únicos artistas que han colocado como mínimo cinco hits en el chart de cada uno de sus álbumes de estudio desde 1987. (Del álbum "Control" de Janet Jackson ingresron los dos últimos cortes, ya que se edito con anterioridad al inicio del chart (1° de junio de 1987)

La mayor cantidad de números uno consecutivos le corresponde a Bruce Hornsby con seis entre 1988 y 1990, incluyendo "El fin de la inocencia" de 1989, interpretado por Don Henley y en el que Hornsby toca el piano.

El único artista en la hitoria del chart en reemplazarse a sí mismo en el número uno es Coldplay, que lo lograron en 2008 con los temas "Colina Violeta" y "Viva la vida" (Ver números uno cronológicos). En 1994 Janet Jacskon casi lo logra con los hits "Esta vez" y "Querés esto" separados por una semana. A fines de 1998 Madonna casi tiene números uno consecutivos con "Sustituto para el amor" y "El poder del adiós" separados por media semana.

El mayor lapso entre números uno de un mismo artista corresponde a Elton John, 13 años entre "No dejes que el sola caiga sobre mí" Con George Michael de 1991 y "Tierra soñada" con Bruce Hornsby de 2004.

El mayor lapso entre hits de un mismo artista le corresponde a Donna Summer con 19 años y once meses entre "Sé que esta vez es real" de 1988 y "Estampá tus pies" de 2008.

Los Pet Shop Boys son el dúo con más hits en el chart (16) y con más números uno (4) "Renta" "El baile del dominó" "Aburriéndome" y "Home and drive"

La mayor cantidad de números uno del mismo álbum es cinco, corresponde a la banda Coldplay que lo hizo con el cd "Viva la vida" que continie los hits "Viva la vida" "Colina violeta" "La muerte y todos sus amigos" "Amantes en Japón" y "Swing de frutilla" el récord se alcanzó en noviembre de 2009. Anteriormente con cuatro números uno de un mismo trabajo estaban (cronológicamente) Miami Sound Mchine (álbum "Let it loose" 1987) , Sade con (álbum "Love deluxe 1992", Madonna con (álbum "Bedtime stories" 1994) George Michael con (álbum "Older" 1996) , Madonna nuevamente con " Ray of light" (1998) ; Jewel con "Spirit" Maxwell con el cd "Now" de 2001 Sade otra vez con "Lover's rock" (2002) Janet Jackson "Damita Jo" de 2004 y Coldplay que luego conseguiría cinco.

Solamente tres artistas lograron tener números uno de un mismo cd en tres años diferentes. Miami Sound Machine con "Déjalo que se pierda" en 1987 88 y 89, Janet Jackson con "La cuerda de terciopelo" en 1997 98 y 99 y Jewel con "Spirit" en 1998 99 y 2000.

La mayor espera para obtener un número uno le corresponde a Britney Spears y a Eminem que hasta ahora tienen 16 hits sin ningún número uno. El más grande hit de Britney es el N° 5 "Nací para hacerte feliz", mientras que el de Eminem es el N° 2 de "Limpiando mi armario". Otros que tuvieron que esperar mucho son los U2 que recién con su decimoquinto hit "El piso bajo sus pies" llegaron a la cima.

Eminem es, además el rapero con mayor cantidad de hits, aunque L L Cool J, Nelly, Puff Daddy (P Diddy) y Will Smith tienen muchos menos hits, llegaron al primer lugar (Nelly 4 veces, L L Cool J 2 veces, The Dream 2 veces, Kanyé West 2 veces (como invitado), Puff Daddy y Will Smith 1

Sade es la cantante con mayor proporción de números uno, posee nueve sobre un total de once hits en el chart. (Ver índice de artistas S) Además es la única artista en tener una canción (Cada palabra) que luego de llegar al primer puesto, bajó al dos y volvió a subir a la cima, totalizando tres semanas y media No Consecutivas en el primer puesto.

Justin Timberlake y Phill Collins llegaron al número uno con sus grupos, y como solistas. En cambio, Will Smith, Beyoncé, Gwen Stéfani y Dave Gaham, lo hicieron como solistas y no con sus grupos (DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Destinys Child, No Doubt y Depeche Mode, respectivamente)

Solo tres artistas llegaron al número uno con sus tres primeros hits en el chart: Usher, The Killers y Vanessa Carlton (Ver índice de artistas). Por otra parte, Whitney Houston llegó al número dos con sus cuatro primeros hits en el chart (todos de su álbum Whitney de 1987).

Los álbumes debut que dieron más hits en el ranking son los de Toni Braxton, Gwen Stéfani y SWV (sister with voices) con seis hits cada uno.

Madonna ha tenido al menos un hit en cada año desde 1989 hasta el presente. Janet Jackson ha tenido por lo menos un hit desde 1992 al presente. Mariah Carey entre 1990 y 2002 tuvo al menos un hit en el chart.

En abril de 1990 Linda Ronstadt y Aaron Nevill llegaban al primer puesto con el tema "Toda mi vida" diez meses después Phill Collins alcanzaba el tope con su tema llamado "toda mi vida". En el año 2002 Madonna llegó al primer lugar con el tema "Asombroso" dos años más tarde George Michael llegó a la cima con otra canción con el mismo nombre. También en 1997 Mariah Carey alcanzó el tope con su hit originalmente llamado "honey" y en 2008 Erykah Badú igualó dicha posición con su tema llamado en inglés "honey"

En 1992 Bonnie Raitt tuvo si primer hit con el N° 1 "No puedo hacer que me ames" que permaneció en la cima por 7 semanas y por 14 semanas en el chart, quedando en el segundo lugar del ranking de 1992. En 1999, George Michael hizo una versión de esa canción que permaneció en primer lugar 7 semanas y 14 en total en el chart, y sorprendentemente finalizó el año en el segundo puesto...

En el año 2000 Puff Daddy llegó al primer puesto con el tema "mejor amigo" que usaba como base el hit de Christopher Cross "Navegando", en 2009 el rapero Avant hizo una remake de la misma canción alcanzando el primer lugar nuevamente. El original nunca rankeó por haber sido lanzado siete años antes de que el chart comenzara.

El número uno con el título más largo le pertenece a Primitive Radio Gods con "Parado afuera de una cabina telefónica rota con el dinero en mi mano" y el más corto a Sarah Mclachlan con "Río"

En la historia del chart solamente debutaron directamente en el primer puesto seis canciones "Este solía ser mi patio" y "No me digas" de Madonna, "Como Jesús a un niño" y "Llamándote" de George Michael, "Hombres de negro" de Will Smith y "Traelo todo de nuevo" de Blaqué.

En 1993 Sting sacó dos veces del primer lugar a Sade. Primero "Campos de oro" reemplazó a "Beso de vida" unas semanas después "La forma de mi corazón" desalojó a "Atesora el día". En 1996 George Michael hizo lo mismo con Whitney Houston cuando "Como Jesus a un niño" relevó a "Exhalá shoop shoop" y luego "Amor rápido" a "Por qué duele tanto". Y en 2008 Madonna repitió esto con Janet Jackson, ya que "Tienda de caramles" sacó de la cima a "Rockear con vos" y más tarde "Ella no es yo" hechó a "Esto no está bien" del primer puesto.

El record de temas consecutivos en la misma posición (no número uno) corresponde a Wilson Phillips que tuvieron cinco canciones que llegaron al puesto 6 entre 1992 y 2004.

El primer y único (hasta el presente) tema en castellano que ingresó al chart es "Manos al aire" de Nelly Furtado, que ingresó al top 10 el 17/9/09. En 1998 Eros Ramazotti alcanzó el puesto 8 junto a Tina Turner, con "las cosas de la vida" pero esa canción no estaba cantada en castellano totalmente.
